We are glad you have taken this life changing step towards finding a mentor for yourself (adult) or your child.

Mentoring programs help youth and adults get life-changing advice, guidance and wisdom for navigating life’s challenges. Youth can gain valuable support and insight into life’s challenges growing up, while adults can gain wisdom in areas of walking in Christ, family challenges, being financially responsible, dealing with career issues and challenges, accountability and advice in areas of strongholds and temptations, etc. Having a mentor can help eliminate the feeling of having to tackle life on our own. It can lead to real change and growth in all these areas of life, and more.

How does it work?

Youth

Christian Mentors offers a local youth mentoring program as well as “non-local” affiliate churches / mentoring organizations to provide mentors for youth. Our local program recruits, screens, and trains youth mentors from throughout the region. Parents can then browse approved, screened mentor profiles online. We then hold a periodic meet and greet session where parents / mentors can be introduced. Once a match is made the mentor meets weekly with the youth at public locations for one year for a minimum of one hour per week.

The youth program is structured around 3 basic components:

• Bonding activities - Playing sports or games, eating together, talking, and anything else that may help build a strong relationship.
• Discipleship - Focusing on growing different aspects of the mentee’s spiritual life.
• Career and Scholastic (for youth 13 and over) - Finding and interviewing business mentors, and working together to improve awareness and interest in scholastic achievement.

Adult
